Steve is a Minnesota native and graduated from South Dakota State University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics.  

Steve earned the professional designation of FLMI in financial services from the Life Office Management Association in 2005.

Prior to joining Boen & Associates, Steve served as the Director of Sales & Marketing at DakotaCare and as Senior Consultant/Shareholder at Holmes Murphy.

Steve brought his 25+ years of industry experience to Boen & Associates, Inc. in November 2017 as Vice President of Employee Benefits.

Steve is focused on providing innovative solutions and strategies to large employers. 

Steve specializes in strategic planning, financial analysis, alternative funding and cost containment strategies.
