DIRECTOR OF LOSS CONTROL & RISK MANAGEMENT

Jon brought his 35 plus years of industry experience to Boen & Associates, Inc. in November 13th, 2017 as the Director of Loss Prevention – Safety & Health Compliance Specialist position with Boen & Associates, Inc. Loss Prevention Program.

Jon has earned many professional designations and also over 50 plus “OSHA Competent Person Courses / Certificates of Successful Completion required courses” through Federal OSHA Trainings. Prior to joining Boen & Associates, Jon served as the previous Program Director / Senior Safety & Health Consultant / Safety Consultant for the South Dakota OSHA Consultation Program, which was administered by SDSU Engineering Extension Office.

Jon specializes in strategic planning, injury & Illness analysis, solutions to hazard abatements, formal trainings, teaching, research and publishing, SWOT Analysis, assistance to employers on written programs and the required documentation needed for safety and health programs, assistance to employers on alternative engineering options for hazards and developing an effective “zero” injury in workplace strategies.

Jon was recognized on 05/18/2016 from Federal OSHA as only the 5th person to ever receive the William J. Higgins Award, from the U.S. Secretary of Labor and Director of the Office of Small Businesses Assistance (Washington, DC)
